Dotty Day at school!!

Queen's school had a dotty day today,something novel to end the term and also a class party.All the kids were adorable in their dotty outfits.According to Queen,the boy beside her is Matthew,her'boyfriend'...faint..

Little kitty

last night we were at a pet shop after dinner.There was this little kitty that came up to my feet and lie against it wanting to be pet.Our little queen found it so amusing,went over and ask the kitty "you love my mama? where is your mama?" so adorable right!

Ever since Ranielle started school and berries,her mandarin has improve tremendously at least for me and Derek.From 'bao bao'(carry ) to now reciting rhymes and asking for food and recognizing some words,it is realy a huge leap.She responds well too whenever we speak to her in mandarin or instructions though she sometimes still replies back in english.But..it's ok,give her some time and she'll be a pro soon ;)I'm really proud of her!

Progress Report

I've just received Ranielle's Progress report today which she happily gave it to me when i picked her up.Guess,she's simply to excited for me to read it.Her progress in all areas are well and her self control is getting better and also she is able to express her feelings in the appropriate manner.Anyway,The teachers wrote,

Ranielle is a sociable and energetic girl who is always excited to see her friends everyday.She is friendly and oftens plays,talks and laughs with her firends and teachers.She shows enthusiasm in all activities and is a keen and active participant in class.she enjoys both indoor and outdoor activities especially playground and water-play which are her two favourite activities in school.

2 1/2 years old.

2 1/2yrs old- much changes,so much more fun.Before her 2nd birthday,we went so worried that she wouldn't be talking but now it seems that she is unstoppable and loves to ask questions which it must be answered if not she will be on repeat mode.She never fail to let us know how much she loves us.Everyday,she will say "i love you" and every morning when she wakes up she'll say "good morning mummy" it really brightens up my day.Nowadays,she listens to instructions much better making everything so much easier.Going out is now enjoyable,she still runs away sometime but it is so much better.I,for one feel so much happier and relax when we are out.I realize when something catches her eye,i'll let her look for a while then call her and she will come.Guess,she just needs a little moment.Now,She's like my little shopping buddy,when ever i try something on i will ask her and she will say "Mummy,not match" or when i ask her is it nice she will shake or nod her head.So adorable!!!And now whenever we are out,she is more willing to walk and only when naptime then back to the sarong.My bag is lighter too,thankfully.Just a water bottle,change of clothes and a snack and entertainment,her ipod(a lifesaver).
For me,it just gets better and better.For her,more fun and more understanding from us.

HFMD

HFMD,not as bad and scary that we thought it would be.Poor Ranielle got it fron school but it seems now it is islandwide.According to her school mailer,most cases occur during march even the papers today said that it is past the epidemic level.Anyway,we were very lucky that queen had a very very mild case of it.No fever or rashes just mouth ulcers and 5 spots.All was fine and she was her normal cheery self.Thank goodness! Now she's back to school having fun.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND 3D

We went for the show on Sunday and Ranielle enjoyed it so much that after the show she immediately said that she wants to watch again.It was her first 3D movie so i guess she was mesmerized while i had to hold on to her 3d glasses which was quite tiring.There were some parts of the movie where she got shocked but overall she loves it.And since Sunday till now,she has been telling me parts of the show and even asking me questions.While i appreciate and love her curiosity and enthusiasm,it's a little bit irritating when i have already answered the questions at least 50 times.I'm seriously considering the thought of getting a voice recorder,hehe..oh by the way,She says that mad hatter's hat is beautiful.

Updates on our little preschooler.

Ranielle is loving school!Everyday,when we reach the school she will straightaway say bye mummy! and hurry to class.Her classmates and teachers are a very welcoming bunch.When she enters the class room,they will say Hi Ranielle very happily and one of the boys will even help her to take her attendance tag for her.When school ends,they will wave goodbye happily to each other and sometimes hug as well.It makes her feel happy and loved.I'm really glad that she's in such a class.
Also now, she is attending Berries and aquaduck.So far,she's enjoying everything and having fun as well.She is definitely a big girl now.The way she looks at things and her understanding level and even her desire to learn is fascinating.Even her behaviour, one minute she's a lovely angel the next she's a little monster.Conversations with her is now more enjoyable,we will watch shows together and she will ask questions which is good but sometimes she 's quite extreme and it gets a little irritating.Taking care of her is now much much easier,she's potty trained,food wise even easier.It's just the disciplinE area which is tough.

Introducing.....our little Preschooler!

Our darling Queen is officially a preschooler!Finally,after waiting for so long.She started school on 12 Jan 2010 and I was able to acc her for 2 days.So.....on the first day she was alone, the principal called
me at 1pm asking me to bring her home.According to her,Ranielle was crying non stop and very loudly which was quite distressing.The 2nd day was so much better.For the 1st report, she was not crying but not happy.2nd report,no news means good news.3rd report, alittle bit if sniffing.She manage to last through.A huge improvement. 3rd and 4th day, struggle when going into class cried when pickup on the 3rd day not 4th. On the 5th day, the big girl in her emerged. Walked to class holding my hand,at the she just walk in didn' t really respond when I said goodbye, so sad:( but no tears and she enjoyed herself very
much. During pickup she was so happy to see me,gave me a huge smile and hug!I'm so proud of her ! She has outdone herself once again!

The queen is officially potty-trained!!

firstly,happy new year to all!
31 dec 09,a good day.Ranielle wore her fav dora panties out and she succeeded in keeping them dry for the whole day .She will either ask to go potty or i will bring her and each time she did it!And seriously every time she pees,i will smile like I've struck gold:)give her a bit more time and she'll be great.
