School Holidays !

Queen won the S-26 cover child contest!!!

We went to for the kidz academy convention on Friday.There was this S-26 contest,so i brought queen to take the photo for fun then this morning,the photographers called and say she was shortlisted and if she wins they will call us at 2pm.So me and Derek was saying to be shortlisted already very good.Then around 2ish,i receive the call that she won!! me and ranielle were jumping up and down in the house screaming YEAH!!! Went to suntec for the prize presentation and here is what she won.

I made my first trip to the dentist today!

Finally brought queen to her first dental appt at GPA holland village.Dr Ong,the dentist was a friendly chap and queen easily settled down.He engages her during the process,patiently explaining what he is going to do and letting her touch the equipment.It was a fun experience for the liitle one and now she flashes her clean teeth to everyone!

School bus

Today,queen took a huge step to independance by taking the school bus by herself.Both Derek and I sent her up the bus with mixed feelings of excitment and worry.For the littloe one,i will never forget the look on her face when she got on to the bus and the bus auntie buckled her in,excited but alittle afraid.Thankfully,when we picked her up downstairs at 12pm,she exclaimed that she had fun in school,liked the bus auntie and wants to ride it again.all the anxious and worried feelings that she couldn't get used to it was gone.She has truly grown up to be an independant and brave girl!

First day of school.

We had to go to queen's school today for an hour orientation.The class size is slightly larger at 20 instead of 14 for pre-nursery.Her teachers,Auntie May and Auntie Theresa,both are very likeable and pleasant.There are a few changes such as no more water play.There will be show and tell for the kids,which i think is quite interesting.the kids will bring an object accoring to the letter that they are learning at the moment eg: 10-14jan is a.so the little one is bringing her toy alligator there to introduce to her classmates.She seems happy with her class and teachers which we are really glad and we hope that she will have a great school year ahead!!

My mum recently got queen an oven for xmas so we tried to bake some cookies.didn't take pics of the end results though.

Starting Nursery soon..

We just receive a letter from Ranielle's school and she is in Sunshine 2!
First day of school will be an hour from 9.40am-10.40am
second day of school will be 2hour from 8.40am-10.40am
Both days are orientation and i will have to accompany her.
Next yr onwards,She will be taking the school bus which is much more convenient for me especially on rainy days and it's so difficult to get a cab from school.I can just cross my fingers and hope she can adjust well and fast.As she will be in the morning session,she won't be seeing much of her classmates from this year unless they are in the same enrichment classes and for this,i do feel sad for her but making new friends shouldn't be a problem to her.Let's just hope that she will be able to ease into nursery well and happyily as there will be many changes for her.

Last day of school

Today is the last day of school for Queen.It is truly amazing at how much and fast she has grown.From crying non-stop at the beginning of the year to enjoying her time with her classmates and teachers.As next year, she will be in the morning session for nursey,i do feel alittle sad as she won't be able to see her fellow classmates,but for her,making new friends shouldn't be a problem :)
Oh how much she has grown,so many different changes in the way she thinks,speaks and behave.It is utterly facsinating but at the same time scary.She is her own entity with a unique and wonderful personality and i thank God each day for giving her to me.
